Terms

Last updated 7 November 2026

These terms are between you and Brightboard AI Ltd (company number 16832757, registered office The Screening House, Cwm Cynon Business Park, Mountain Ash, CF45 4ER, United Kingdom), for the Wavo app and its services. Apple's standard licence for App Store apps also applies. If anything here isn't clear, email samuel@brightboardai.com.

The road comes first

  • Set your route before you set off, and keep your eyes on the road. Don't hold or use your phone while driving where the law forbids it, as it does in the UK.
  • Road signs, signals, the law and the police always come before Wavo.
  • Directions, speed limits, cameras, traffic, closures, reports, fuel prices, tolls, opening hours and Ask Wavo's answers come from many sources and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Use your own judgement.
  • Use camera alerts only where the law allows them. They're there to help you keep to the limit.

Reports

Only report what you see, honestly. Don't use reports to mislead or harass anyone, or for anything unlawful. We may hide any report, or stop showing a driver's reports.

Your subscription

  • Wavo needs a subscription. New subscribers can get the first month free.
  • Plans renew automatically, every month or every year, until you cancel. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm, and again for each renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • To stop the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple Account settings.
  • If you subscribe during a free month, the rest of the free month ends.
  • Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy. In the UK they're £2.99 a month or £24.99 a year.
  • Apple handles refunds, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Using Wavo

  • Wavo is for your own personal use.
  • Don't copy, take apart or resell the app or its data, overload our servers, or collect data from them automatically.
  • Keep your account to yourself. You can delete it in the app at any time.
  • We may change Wavo, its features and these terms. We'll tell you in the app about important changes.

Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these terms limits what the law doesn't let us limit, such as our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing here affects your rights as a consumer.
  • Apart from that, we're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, or for fines and penalties you get while driving, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid for Wavo in the 12 months before your claim.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. Wherever you live, your local consumer laws still protect you.
